Back to the Moon

Introductory workshops at libraries throughout Westchester County taking a look into NASA’s aerospace program. Starting with the Space Race, students will explore the struggles that NASA Scientists, Mathematicians and Engineers faced in their attempts to reach the moon and living in a microgravity environment. We will focus on the significance of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Moon landing and discuss NASA’s latest mission of returning BACK TO THE MOON

Astronauts Are People Too!

An interactive, hands-on program about living and working in space for children ages 3-6. With an emphasis on STEAM, this workshop includes the reading of Canadian astronaut, Commander Chris Hadfield’s children’s book, “Darkest Dark,” and will explore what life is like for astronauts living on the International Space Station.
